Ring Sizing

It is important to know your ring size before buying rings online.

If you can, I encourage you to visit a jeweller or jewellery store and have your finger sized for free. This will be much more accurate than using an online ring sizer or a piece of string or paper. I have ring sizers available for purchase here for Australian customers if you can't get to a jewellery store, but I highly recommend getting your finger professionally sized in person. You can find printable paper ring sizers online but remember they are not as accurate.

Ring Sizing Tips

    • Make sure you measure the correct finger on the correct hand. Your dominant hand is generally slightly larger than your non-dominant hand.
    • Rings with wider bands will fit a bit tighter. They need to be a larger size than narrow ones to feel comfortable. If you are buying a wider band ring (over 7mm) it is better to go up a size.
    • Make sure your finger is at normal body temperature because fingers can shrink when cold and expand when hot.
    • There is no difference between women's and men's sizes, all fingers are sized the same way.
    • If you have larger knuckles you will need to measure your knuckle and the part of your finger where the ring will sit. Choose a size in between your finger and knuckle size and then check to make sure the ring will fit over your knuckle - I highly recommend you have your finger sized by a jeweller in this case.

How Do I Measure a Ring Size Using A Ring I already have?

You can find the measurement of a ring you already have by taking a ruler and measuring straight across the centre from inside edge to inside edge. Document the diameter in millimetres. Compare the diameter to the ring sizing chart to find your size.

I work in US measurements and sizes so all of my rings are specified in Standard US sizes, but, because I am based in Australia I also have AUS/UK/NZ sizes on each listing too. If you know your ring size but it isn't in US or AUS then let me know and I can convert it for you.
